While we wait for the next post…

We here at the IK are peering out the window, where El Niño, conspicuously absent last month, has reappeared with a vengeance. We’re also working on a long-overdue book review for our editor at PopMatters.com, where you may read our review of Bee Wilson’s excellent First Bite. 

While there is indeed food and photography anxiously hoping to be posted here, I’ve yet to strap it into the corsetry called a recipe. So anxiously await it will. And no, I haven’t been smoking anything this morning.

Next week we’ll cook Back-in-the-pot-Pork, Fuchsia Dunlop’s moreish stir fry, accompanied by hand-torn cabbage with Chinkiang vinegar. We’ll also successfully resuscitate this rusted wok.
